April 8th is our next meeting. The speaker will be Carrie Pakenham on the cultivation and uses of unusual herbs. That sounds like my cup of tea (or tissane). The competition is titled “Five Herbs in a Jar” on our programme.
I wonder if I’m the only one who remembers the children’s TV programme The Herbs? Sir Basil, Lady Rosemary, Parsley the Lion, Dill the Dog and Tarragon the Dragon. I’m sure we won’t be seeing any of those characters in a jar, but it sounds like a really fun competition.
